Veterinary eye ointment for cats and dogs, used to treat bacterial eye infections. Uses: conjunctivitis, yellow or green eye discharge, redness and irritation of the eye, mild bacterial infections in the eye and eyelid, may help in some cases of third eyelid inflammation if caused by bacteria. Active ingredients: Chloramphenicol 10mg/g, a broad-spectrum antibiotic for bacteria. Polymyxin B Sulphate 5000 IU/g, a strong antibiotic against some bacteria causing eye infections. Method of use: clean the discharge first with a cotton swab and saline solution. Place a very small strip inside the lower eyelid. Usually 2–4 times daily depending on the severity of the condition. Continue for 48 hours after the eye improves.
