Known as the air conditioner refrigerator or Evaporator Core. It is the part that cools the air inside the air conditioning system. It works by evaporating the refrigerant (Freon), which produces cold air pumped into the car cabin. Location: Usually inside the air conditioning unit behind the dashboard (front panel), and often requires removing a large part of the car interior for replacement. Symptoms when it is damaged: Weak air conditioning cooling. Water leakage inside the car (due to clogged drainage drains). Fungal or moisture smell. Freon leakage in case of tiny holes.
