Empty tin drum

Author's name: Günter Grass Publisher: Al-Jamal Publications for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2000 Brief about the book: "The Tin Drum" the most famous novel in Germany, considered one of the most important literary works written after World War II, and it still to this day is a subject of wide controversy in various cultural, political, and social circles. It is a warning, serious, deeply meaningful, intelligent in its treatment of topics, both forbidden and permissible, and sharp in its satire. Some of its techniques rely on the old Arabic storytelling style, which Grass belongs to, as he confirmed on several occasions. This unique novel was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1999.
