Author's name: Fabrice Tomrildar Publisher: Dar Al-Tanweer for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2017 Brief about the book: This book reviews different aspects of the approach, and presents examples that enable students to familiarize themselves with the major types of criticism (formal, aesthetic, interpretive) and the major issues (the relationships between criticism and science, and between criticism and literature).. and the main methodological trends (the types of encyclopedic, hermeneutic, and formal criticism). This work paid special attention to the critic's style and the characteristics of different types of discourse (academic, journalistic, aesthetic) and the sociology of the literary field, as well as the recent works of "Christiva" and "Rekor" etc.. In it, various types of criticism and their development, especially in the second half of the twentieth century, are revealed. It draws the attention of literature specialists because it explores the history of ideas, literature, and society. The book includes some analytical and critical practices with an educational dimension that practically embody the methods, principles, or concepts previously presented theoretically, which might remain vague to the reader without practical examples to clarify and illustrate them. At the end of each chapter, we included a summary of its main meanings and a test to assess understanding of its issues. Due to the scientific nature of the book, we were careful in Arabizing it to be meticulous in the work and faithful to the meaning in its most precise details, taking into account the spirit of Arabic syntax and the characteristics of Arabic sentences. We also created a special glossary for the terms and tried to specify their terminological meanings, not in an absolute sense or outside this classification, but as they are used in their terminological context within this book.
