Author's name: Ludmila Olitskaya Publisher: Al-Karma for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2018 Literary classification: Novel Brief about the book: Sonichka sank into books since her childhood, and lived among the characters of the novels, unconcerned with what was happening in the real world around her, until she met Robert Viktorovich in the basement of the public library and he asked for her hand, so she left the books, and lived a simple but happy life with her artist husband and their only daughter. But she never felt that she deserved all this happiness, so she was not surprised when something threatened her. A wonderful and wise short novel, depicting the deep psychological transformations of its characters through details of daily life against the backdrop of the iron Soviet system. Olitskaya skillfully tells the story of a heroine unlike any in all the books she reads.
