Here we can start by saying that Moravia was a professor in the literature of his travels, which occupied a large part of his activities as a writer, meaning he dedicated one page of investigation for every three pages of novel. The first article about Moravia's travels dates back to November 4, 1930, and the novel "The Indifferent" had been published a year earlier with great success. It was then published in the newspaper "La Sen Mbah" in Torsho under the title: "Arriving in London." That was the beginning of a series of trips and articles that continued until the death of the writer in 1990, and they covered all continents (except Australia and the Heart of the Shale) with repeated visits to Asia, America, and Africa. Moravia was therefore a traveler as well as a great travel writer, especially since every visit he made to a foreign country resulted (or was because of it) in publishing investigations in the newspaper "Gazzetta del Popolo" in the Tripolitania, in "La Nove Sampa" in the 1940s, in "European" magazine in the 1940s and 1950s, and in the "Corriere della Sera" newspaper throughout the subsequent decades. Moravia himself characterized his travel literature in his first articles titled "Letters from the Desert," which were later published in 1981 in a book of the same name.
