The novel delved into the heart of contemporary American society, with humor and brutality, I haven't read anything like it since Swift and Twain." With these words, British historian Amanda Foreman, head of the judging panel for the Booker Prize, commented on the win of the novel "The Sellout" by American author Paul Betty, for her 2016 award.
