The stadium

The Japanese writer Kobo Abe; author of the famous novel Woman in the Sand, blends natural prose with hallucinations to create a novel reminiscent of Kafka and Beckett's writings, where the unknown hero of this unique novel; the strange and provocative hero, abandons his identity and the adornments of ordinary life to live inside a wide box of cardboard that he places in front of him. A fragile world that includes a man armed with a rifle determined to shoot him, a seductive young nurse destined to strip herself, and a doctor who wishes to become canned himself.
