The game

Author's name: Julio Cortázar Publisher: Al-Jamal Publications for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2020 Literary classification: Novel Brief about the book: Julio Cortázar sees in the hopscotch a huge metaphorical expression of what he searches for. It is the search for the absolute and for the center. There in hopscotch, there are two elements: the first circle is the earth, and the goal is the sky; a game whose rules children own that do not depend on absolute logical measurement, but it is also the state of readiness that the child is in without knowing, and adults should not forget that state if they want to understand the surrounding reality; not only relying on logical measurement but by maintaining that inherited tradition.
