The turbulent life of the boy Turless

Author's name: Robert Musil Publisher: Hayat Publications for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2025 Literary classification: Novel Brief about the book: This is the first novel of the great Austrian writer Robert Musil, who is considered one of the most prominent writers of German literature in the twentieth century. Literary historians like to place Musil on the same level as pioneers of literary modernism of the past century alongside James Joyce and Marcel Proust. Musil's novel "The Turbulent Life of Boy Törles," first published in 1906, attracted the attention of many writers worldwide for its stylistic renewal, philosophical mystery, and boldness in ideas, and was included by the famous German newspaper Zeit in the library of the hundred most important literary works of the twentieth century. Musil's novel from beginning to end is a tightly crafted literary piece, and a document describing the phases of confrontation between a man with exquisite sensitivity and burning intelligence, and the era in which he was born, an era that, although called a bitter age, was truly a cursed age.
