One hundred tremors

Inside Lama's story, who is searching for her beloved Jallal, two stories are moving in opposite directions: her grandfather's story, colored with nostalgia for old Tripoli; and the story of Mardiros, the fearful and displaced Armenian, and the most beautiful singer she has known in the corners. From Tripoli to Aleppo, then Pennsylvania, the stories travel to depict images of joy and cruelty, of forbidden music and ambiguous love.
