Echo of the years the narrator

Author's name: Saleh Al-Shahri Publisher: Al-Rafidain for Publishing and Distribution Year of publication: 2025 Literary classification: Biographies and Memoirs About the book: I believe that biographies present popular history, in contrast to official history, which focuses on writing about major events and their leaders, but the reflection of these historical events on people's lives can rarely be understood except through people's biographies. This collection is dedicated to biographies from the Gulf countries, and without intentionality, most of them come from Saudi Arabia and Iraq. However, I deliberately chose most of them from contemporary writers, hoping that this reflects the enormous social changes that have occurred in the region. Therefore, I do not favor a past that is said to be more beautiful, but I long for these changes to interact with the future we aspire to. Many of these articles were published in the Saudi magazine “Al-Yamama,” which I dealt with very comfortably, and perhaps this book will become the first part of a series presenting the lives of the people of the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula.
