The novel, which contains details of our people's suffering and features of their struggle, serves as an creative document of the events of the war on Gaza, so it is not limited to a dramatic narration but goes beyond to a deep dialogue about the existence of the occupation and the usefulness of its resistance, reflecting the daily life of Palestinians in facing repression and destruction. The novel deals with the lives of three main Palestinian characters: a citizen living under Gaza bombardment, a detainee facing brutal torture in the occupation prisons, and a writer documenting the events of the war and the massacre, to ensure that the suffering of the Palestinian people is not forgotten. This diversity of voices reflects the emotional and psychological variety of the Palestinian experience in their resistance to the occupation, through language that blends poetry and direct documentation, as Al-Mutawakkil Toh highlights the oppressive practices of the occupation, providing a deep analysis of the ideological and political justifications that legitimize those crimes.
