Yemeni wild thyme: adds a distinctive herbal flavor. Optional additional ingredients: Green Subbasas: may be added to enhance flavor and taste. Nuts: such as peanuts, almonds, and sesame, roasted and added to increase nutritional value and flavor. Other spices: cumin, coriander, and salt. Flour: used to reduce the intensity of the chili heat. Preparation method: Preparing the ingredients: grind the hot chili with garlic, then add the wild thyme and other ingredients such as nuts and spices. Grinding: grind the ingredients together in a blender or using a traditional mortar until well combined. Storage: keep the mixed Al-Subbasas Al-Himi in airtight containers to preserve its flavor. Usage: used as a side dish with salads like Shafout, and as a main dish in many Yemeni foods. served as a sauce or spice with yogurt, meats, or vegetables.
