Simplified Interpretation

Brief: Enlarged and revised edition
There was a urgent need in this era to produce a concise interpretation that considers the principles and sources of interpretation based on the methodology of the righteous predecessors, to ensure its clarification in a way that reassures and trusts the hearts. It offers the interpretation in simple, easy words, clarifying the meanings of the Quran, its objectives, and revealing the connotations of words and their structures, which are often absent from the minds and understanding of the general people.
A select group of renowned scholars of interpretation, known for their knowledge and competence, was chosen to prepare the first edition, within important guidelines including:
First: Interpreting the verses according to the creed of the righteous predecessors.
Second: Presenting the authentic narration-based interpretation over other types.
Third: Limiting narration to the correct or most likely sayings.
Fourth: Highlighting the Quranic guidance and the objectives of Sharia through interpretation.
Fifth: The wording should be concise and easy, with explanations of unfamiliar words during interpretation.
Sixth: The interpreter should stick to the meaning equivalent to the verse and avoid adding extra interpretations found in other verses, to be explained in their proper context.
Seventh: Present the meaning of the verse directly, without unnecessary elaboration, except when necessary.
Eighth: The interpretation should follow the narration of Hafs from Asim.
Ninth: Avoid mentioning different readings, grammatical issues, morphology, syntax, and rhetoric.
Tenth: Interpret each verse separately; sometimes, the meanings of two or more verses may be combined if their meanings are connected. The words of the Quran are not repeated unless necessary. The verse number is mentioned at the beginning of each interpretation.
Eleventh: The interpretation should be within the scope of the margin of the Madinah Mushaf.
Twelfth: The interpreter should consider that this interpretation will be translated into different languages and avoid mentioning terms that are difficult to translate.
