Titanium dioxide

Description: White pigment with a crystalline structure, high refractive index, and high opacity, capable of reflecting and scattering light. Derived from natural ilmenite mineral. Synonyms: Cosmetic white, rutile, brookit, typak, zobak, titanium anhydrate. Purity > 98%, pH 7-8 (10% concentration). White powder with a distinctive smell. Matte finish, pure color. Used alone or to deepen the color of other pigments. Previously known as "matte white." This titanium dioxide pigment is ideal for cold process soap. This product is insoluble in water but dispersible in oil or water. Benefits: Reflects sunlight (UVB rays). Widely used in makeup powders to lighten colors. Applications: Sun care products, colored cosmetics with or without sun protection. Usage: Can be added directly to formulations, recommended concentration 2-25%. For external use only.
