Product description
Dipropyl Kojic Acid (KAD) is a diester derivative of Kojic Acid. It is considered superior to Kojic Acid in whitening ability and more stable than Kojic Acid in cosmetic formulations. By inhibiting tyrosinase activity, Kojic Acid Dipalmitate can suppress skin pigmentation. Its ability to inhibit melanin formation makes it effective in whitening dark skin or dark areas of the skin. Its effects are enhanced when used with glucosamine derivatives such as N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG). Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is characterized by good stability under heat and light, with no color change. Benefits: does not react with metal ions and does not change color; stable under light and heat; compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Applications: sunscreens and after-sun products; makeup products; skin whitening products; anti-aging products; creams and formulations. Kojic Acid Dipalmitate (KAD) tends to form a crystalline precipitate in some cosmetic products. It is recommended to add isopropyl palmitate or isopropyl myristate to the oil phase containing KAD, heat to 80°C (167°F), and keep for 5 minutes until KAD dissolves completely. Then, add the oil phase to the aqueous phase and emulsify for about 10 minutes. Stable from pH 3 to 10. Typical usage rate: 1 - 5%, usually 3-5% in whitening products. Appearance: white to nearly white crystalline powder. Solubility: insoluble in water, soluble in oil.
