Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate)

A highly stable derivative of vitamin C (magnesium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate salt of ascorbic acid) does not decompose in water-based formulations. Resistant to light and oxygen. Purity >98.0%. May change color at pH <6. It is best used in emulsion-based products at pH between 5-7. Benefits: - Stable and resistant to degradation form of vitamin C, a strong antioxidant (proven to protect the skin from oxidative damage) - Can improve the appearance of mature and fragile skin - Widely used as an ingredient in skin brightening products to correct hyperpigmentation and age spots - The antioxidant effect can be enhanced by combining magnesium ascorbyl phosphate with ascorbic acid and/or vitamin E Use: Add at the end of the formulation process just before the preservative, by pre-dissolving in a small amount of distilled water.
