Dimethicone 500

Dimethicone 500 is a linear silicone polymer active at 100% with a viscosity of 500 centistokes. The linear silicone is a high molecular weight polymer (polydimethylsiloxane) and is usually viscous and oil-like. Benefits: - Used for its chemical stability in antifoams, colored cosmetics, and hair care products - Does not whiten creams and lotions when rubbed on the skin and provides a dry, non-greasy feel - Improves wet and dry combing, and gives silky softness and shine in hair care products - Makes colors more dispersible (solvent) - Typical usage level 1-20% (up to 50% possible), added during the oil phase in the formulation or at the end of the formulation - Do not heat above 50°C (125°F) - For external use only - Expiry date: 2027/1
