The CEO of the Middle East region at the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and the Advisor to the CEO, Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Amari, presented his comprehensive vision for the change taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in his recently published book by the Arab Thought Foundation in Beirut, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Post-Oil Economy."
The author, based on his experience in economic, social, civil, and governmental work, believes that "the Kingdom is currently undergoing an integrated national transformation experience, both in its history and in the history of the entire region," aiming to compare the Vision 2030 of the Kingdom with similar regional and international visions, in order to draw lessons and explore ways to achieve this vision, as well as to convey a positive image of it, providing an extensive explanation of the details and contents of this vision.
Al-Amari explained that the main ideas contained in the book focus on three elements: the first is that Vision 2030 is a highly necessary institutional, cultural, and economic work, indicating the major positive changes the Kingdom is witnessing in the process of economic and social development, with cultural dimensions aligned with the requirements of the era.
Secondly, it involves evaluating the components, objectives, key actors, and performance indicators, as well as the impact of the vision on the economic and social levels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Thirdly, it includes a comparison between Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and other regional visions for 2030, with the aim of exploring potential frameworks for concerted efforts and regional cooperation.
