Product description

Mechanism of action of fluticasone and salmeterol

Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that mediates anti-inflammatory effects.

Fluticasone works by reducing the inflammatory responses associated with asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, and corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions. It also inhibits the actions of inflammatory cells, such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils.

Salmeterol is an inhaled beta2-agonist used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.

Salbutamol works by helping the muscles around the airways in the lungs to stay relaxed.
