Mechanism of action of fluticasone

Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that mediates anti-inflammatory effects.

Fluticasone works by reducing the inflammatory responses associated with asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, and corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions. It also inhibits the action of inflammatory cells, such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils.

Therapeutic indications for Avalon Rainase Nasal Spray

Fluticasone furoate is used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (nasal allergies) including nasal congestion, runny or itchy nose, sneezing, and watery, itchy, or red eyes.

Fluticasone furoate is a corticosteroid; it reduces inflammation by decreasing the activity of the immune system.

This reduces the release of substances that cause allergy symptoms, such as histamine.
