What is Micro Modal, and who is Lenzing?

Lenzing is an Austrian company that has been developing wood-based fibers for more than 80 years, and Micro Modal is the finest fiber in the entire TENCEL™ range. It is made from beechwood pulp, and every fiber carries a built-in molecular marker that proves the fabric is genuine and traces its source. A finer fiber gives a softer, lighter fabric that flows more smoothly on the skin.

Premium fabric, simple care

TENCEL™ Modal fibers are made to handle repeated washing and drying — no dry cleaning or hand washing needed. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low or air dry, and it keeps its softness and color. The only thing we recommend avoiding is fabric softener: it coats the fibers and reduces the fabric's ability to move sweat away.

What is the difference between Micro Modal and cotton?

Micro Modal fibers are finer than cotton, so they feel softer and cooler on the skin and move moisture to the surface faster instead of holding it in the fabric. Cotton absorbs moisture but holds it longer, which is why it feels heavy and sticky after hours of walking. The Comfora boxer is made of 91% Lenzing TENCEL™ Micro Modal with 9% LYCRA® Elastane for a fit that stays in place.

Does it show under a white thobe?

The white Comfora boxer is designed for the thobe: the logo is engraved on the waistband instead of printed, so no line or contrast shows through light fabric. The flat flatlock seams at the edges also keep the hems from standing out.
