The question that must be asked here is how can the national media benefit from the art of cinema and from artists who went on scholarships and then returned to take on other jobs? In this regard, I present to you a practical vision to correct the current situation, hoping that this will be achieved in the future. The starting point is the interest of the responsible authorities for culture and arts in cinema as an influential art in local and external media, which can enable the Gulf region to produce a cinema industry capable of playing its role in highlighting the identity of the Gulf Arab person and their intellectual, cultural, and social components, and also capable of telling the world that this is my environment and culture, and that Islam is the religion of tolerance, knowledge, and civilization, not terrorism as you claim. If we agree on the starting point, the next step is to accelerate the establishment of the necessary infrastructure to form an effective and influential cinematic industry, which requires support from everyone, countries and individuals. If the previous two steps are achieved, this will contribute to encouraging some businessmen and financial institutions to establish and develop strong cinematic entities in cooperation with existing Arab institutions, as is happening in the world. Following that, a meeting of media and cinema figures should be held to discuss the future strategy for advancing the art of cinema and serving the media in the region through cinema. A clear plan to serve both local and external media through cinema is the only way to face the challenges of the twenty-first century that confront us. We must be aware that each day brings new challenges brought by technology, media sciences, globalization ideas, the World Trade Organization, intellectual property, and all the new ideas and challenges around us today, demanding our full understanding so that we can confront and interact with them instead of just watching.
