Folic Acid 5 mg Description of Folic Acid 5 mg: Folic acid 5 mg for the treatment of anemia caused by folic acid deficiency or increased use of folic acid in the body, as in pregnancy. Usage instructions: 5 mg per day for 4 months, which can be increased to a maximum of 15 mg per day. Warnings and precautions: Do not take folic acid tablets and inform your doctor if you have an allergy (hypersensitivity) to folic acid or any other ingredients in the tablets (see section 6 - untreated vitamin B12 deficiency such as in some types of anemia and lifelong vegetarians - pernicious anemia (a form of anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency) or another condition caused by vitamin B12 deficiency - malignant disease (cancer). Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking folic acid tablets if you have a tumor dependent on folic acid - are pregnant - have any disease that reduces the amount of vitamin B12 in the body.
