Claritex XL is used to treat bacterial infections in different parts of the body, and it is also used in combination with other medicines to treat duodenal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. Claritex XL belongs to the class of medicines known as antibiotics (macrolides); it works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. Active ingredient: Clarithromycin. Indications: - Bronchial infections - and pneumonia or lung infections or sore throat and tonsillitis. - Sinusitis, soft tissue infections. - Duodenal ulcer. - Otitis media. - Used as an alternative to penicillin in case of allergy to penicillin. Warnings: - The medication should not be used if there is an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients. - The medication should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. - Those with elevated liver enzymes should avoid using the medication.
