Product description

What is Dutasteride and its indications: Dutasteride is used to treat men with prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia) - non-cancerous growth in the prostate gland, caused by excess secretion of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone. It belongs to a group of drugs called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. As the prostate grows, it can cause urinary problems, such as difficulty urinating and the need to go to the bathroom frequently. Dutasteride reduces the production of dihydrotestosterone, helping the prostate shrink and relieving symptoms. This will reduce the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for surgery. Dutasteride can also be used with another medication called tamsulosin (used to treat symptoms of prostate enlargement).
