Common name: Wild Iris Scientific name: Moraea sisyrinchium Also known as: Al-Ansul, Al-Ansansil, Al-Khawaysan A perennial plant from the Iridaceae family, which also includes the Iridaceae tribe. It has an upright stem and leaves that start from its root, which are long and hanging, opposite each other. It blooms several attractive purple flowers. It is frost-resistant and loves sunlight, but does not tolerate high temperatures.
