Thai papaya is a perennial tropical tree that reaches a height of 5 to 10 meters. Its leaves are arranged in a spiral pattern and are concentrated at the top of the trunk. The lower part of the trunk shows clear scars where the leaves and fruit are attached. All parts of the plant contain latex.
• Thai papaya flower: Its flowers are pentagonal and highly double-shaped. The male flowers have stamens fused with the petals, while the female flowers have an ovary above and five twisted petals loosely connected at the base. They are yellow and bloom in spring.
• Thai papaya fruit and seeds: The fruit is a tropical fruit, green in color with yellow flesh, and has a sweet taste between cantaloupe and mango. Inside, it contains small black seeds.
• Season for germinating Thai papaya: Seeds are planted in autumn, but they can also be cultivated year-round in protected agricultural environments, enclosed or plastic places where temperature can be controlled, and where there is sufficient light for the plant.
• Suitable climate and soil for growing Thai papaya: It is grown in a sunny climate with temperatures between 35 and 44 degrees Celsius. It prefers well-drained sandy or clay soil, with fertilization. It should be planted in a place protected from strong winds, as it cannot withstand high winds. Regular watering is necessary.

• Benefits and uses: Its leaves have medicinal importance, and its fruit is one of the tropical fruits that spread around the world.
• Native origin of Thai papaya: Central and South America. It is also widespread in Iraq and cultivated in Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries.
