Between culture and politics

This book, which bears a specific title: "Between Culture and Politics," aims primarily to raise a number of issues, which are more like questions rather than claiming to provide complete answers or solutions. The relationship between culture and politics is a major problem at this stage because the many disappointments that have followed in recent phases have created a confusing atmosphere, and this atmosphere has carried illusions, which requires opening a broad dialogue to reach a new formulation that defines the relationship between culture and politics, and between intellectuals and politicians. What is said about culture and politics is also said about the relationship between media and culture, the role of the intellectual in the current phase, the view of the Renaissance era, the rise and failure, and also the great and loud collapse of the Soviet Union and the socialist camp without a political crisis or military defeat, and the impact of oil on the entire Arab region. These topics, and others, I saw fit to present as issues that require re-examination and reflection, because through this path we can read events and phenomena calmly and objectively, as a prelude to understanding them and then dealing with them in a better way.
