What this study aims to do is to present a picture of the urban conditions of the region, including its geographical, demographic, and administrative conditions during the first four Islamic centuries, relying entirely on the trusted texts that appeared in Arabic books, trying to understand what the sources mentioned, and to present a comprehensive picture without limiting to one aspect or limited aspects, and to present the texts organized without exaggerating hypotheses or delving into analysis and inference.
