The custom of storytelling in Hejaz is very intimate, as the story is usually specific to children and not general, and the one who narrates is a mother or grandmother telling her children or grandchildren, and the story is told before sleep, hence the expression "a bedtime story," which are tales that revolve around reality, softened from worlds of jinn and sorcerers. This book contains a wealth of Hejazi folk tales collected by the author directly from the voices of narrators and "storytellers." Although folk tales may resemble each other in terms of themes and narratives, each region adds its own flavor to them, and Hejaz did the same. Abdo Khalil is a Saudi writer and novelist. Among his publications from Dar Al Saqi: "Mud," "Fasouq," "Anfas," "Lewa'a Al Ghaweeya," "Trimi Bisharar."
