Amsterdam

On one of the cold February days, two old friends met to offer condolences for the death of "Molly," both of whom had been lovers of Molly in the past: "Clive," the most successful music composer in Britain, and "Vernon," an editor at a prestigious newspaper. In the days following the funeral, the friends will sign a treaty whose terrible results they do not know, and will make a catastrophic moral decision that will put their friendship to the test. An exciting novel by the British novelist "Ian McEwan," who has published eleven novels, including "The Cement Garden," "Black Dogs," and "Atonement," which will be published soon by Dar Al-Adab; he won the Booker Prize for his novel "Amsterdam" in 1998.
