Languages are peoples; because they are the record of their heritage, and what their hearts contain of feelings, and their imaginations of images, and their minds of ideas. This book has been concerned with explaining the relationship between language and culture; to show its danger, and its place in the mind and identity, and that what the Arabs face today of cunning, and aggression, and what is launched against them of raids, aims to erase the memories of the Arabs, and to obliterate their identity; for it was the pride in the identity that builds the feeling of distinction, and the resistance to melting, and subjugation, and when the identity is erased, that feeling and resistance are replaced by a tendency to resemble the dominant, seeking perfection, and compensating for deficiency. The book clarified what results from understanding the place of language in identity from the concern of aware peoples for their languages, their preservation, their reverence, and elevating them to the highest ranks in their lives, and balanced that with what the Arabs are doing today to the Arabic language.
