Product description
The time is night and the world is still. The lights in Diriya are off. Entering that town of the magicians requires walking on tiptoe. The town lies sleeping on the water's surface, and silence prevails after the noise of the Sunday festival. The circus owners have packed up their tents, the drums have left, and the doors are closed. In the park, the gypsies have pitched their tents, who came from South America, and before that, they had come from Europe, Egypt, and India, and before that, from the Garden of the Earth, where a gypsy woman, who predated Eve, Adam, and gave birth to a lineage of men without being tainted by original sin. Silence envelops the caravans. Children are dreaming, and tired women are extinguishing the fire, while men light their cigarettes with the still-glowing embers and smoke. Near one caravan, a man and a woman stand arguing, as if they are debating. She tells him she hates him. He tells her he hates her.
