Product description

A unique novel in its composition, its structure consists of many stories that at first glance seem like standalone narrative units, but they intertwine as the pages progress, forming a picture of the neighborhood, or of the world as Sawad sees it, drawn from the eye of a child who grew up in the neighborhood and experienced its characters and conditions. Stories begin with the mystique and symbolism of the Sufi mystics, and end with them again after passing through the neighborhood children and narrating their amazing stories. It is said that Sawad started writing it as a book inspired by his autobiography and personal experience, then it led him or was led by him to broader horizons of imagination and reflection. It was adapted into a theatrical work with the same title in 1990.
