Rehabilitation period dreams

A unique book in its subject and style, Naguib Mahfouz concluded his creative journey with writing texts that depict fragments and shades of his dreams that he saw during the period of convalescence that followed his stabbing by extremists, adding to them his imaginary dreams surrounded by symbols. The dreams of the convalescence period were translated into French and English, and the translator into English, Raymond Stock, mentioned that the dreams carry more of Mahfouz's autobiographical biography than the echoes of the autobiography. It was also discussed by the great psychiatrist Yahiya Al-Rakhawi in his book "About the Nature of Dreams and Creativity," analyzing those texts psychologically and commenting on them from the perspective of psychology and humanities.
