The end of love

Western culture has consistently depicted how love miraculously invades the lives of men and women, this legendary moment when we know that someone has been destined for us among people, this frantic anticipation of a phone call or an email message, this trembling that runs through our being just by thinking of that or the one we love. To be a lover means to become a student of Plato's students, and it means to see in a certain person the manifestation or embodiment of a complete and perfect idea.
