Product description

The novel is based on the search into the biography of Al-Marzouk, the Iraqi leftist bookseller, after his murder in Baquba. The narrator collects scattered clips of photos, paintings, letters, diaries, and people's testimonies to discover the truth about the bookseller, but in the end, the truth of the character remains fragmented and confused because, as usual, he has more than one face. An enjoyable literary composition that presents reality between political tyranny and security persecution, shaken convictions and intellectual transformations, prison and alienation, and the wounds of the soul that are difficult to heal, and of course love with its sad or unexpected outcomes.
