Baghdad and the cities of the East

Translation: Hussein Sunbila The author of this book does not stop at a specific period in narrating the events of many Arab cities, foremost Baghdad, but lives history in all its details, and re-reads that history in a poetic language as if he is writing personal memoirs about cities he loves. Robert launches from deep history to reach the beginning of the twentieth century in his writings that started in the city of the East, from Persia and Saba to Beirut and Damascus, and then represents the stories of One Thousand and One Nights in reading these cities.
