Echoes of the autobiography

A book of texts in which Naguib Mahfouz drew inspiration from many scenes of his life rich with personal experiences and intellectual reflections, without presenting what can be described as a traditional biography. The book contains 226 very diverse and condensed short texts, most of which are characterized by storytelling and narrative, while others focus on philosophical contemplation and symbolic reference. Mahfouz included in this book a summary of his life experience, whether on the personal and human level or the political and intellectual, as many of his texts also contain references to the writer's stance on religion and faith, and on love and beauty, many of which have a Sufi flavor charged with depth, tolerance, love for the universe, and its Creator.
