Maze of the souls

Carlos Zafón led us to his final stop of the "Forgotten Books Cemetery" saga. "Maze of Souls" is the fourth installment after "The Prisoner of Heaven," "The Angel's Game," and "The Shadow of the Wind." An intense novel, no less passionate, exciting, and thrilling than its predecessors, it takes us once again to those narrow alleys shrouded in mysterious ambiguity and complex puzzles, between the vibrant Barcelona and its cursed opposite. The city becomes like circles of hell, engulfing each other. We meet new faces that join the previous characters and interact with them. Instead of guiding us to a final conclusion of the tetralogy, the pages open to different scenarios, expanding to include other places, and delving deeper into the times that paved the way for war and tragedy, and the years of tyranny, oppression, and injustice that followed.
