Product description
⚙️ Part Name: Piston Rod Bearing Bush / Connecting Rod Bushing - Upper (Upper Connecting Rod Bearing Bush)
🔢 Original Part Number (OEM): 1004017XEC02
- 🔁 Opposite piece (bottom alloy): 1004018XEC02 (Lower Connecting Rod Bearing)
- 📍 Location: It is installed at the large end of the connecting rod (arm/Con-Rod) on the upper side, between the piston arm and the crankshaft journal.
🔧 Mechanical function and role:
- 🛡️ Reduced friction: Provides an ultra-smooth surface for the crankshaft to glide and rotate inside the connecting rod without direct friction between the metals.
- 🛢️ Preserving the oil film (Hydrodynamic Lubrication): Designed with an orifice and oil channel that allows the engine oil to flow and be pumped at high pressure to form a micronized insulating oil film.
- 💥 Shock Absorption and Distribution: It withstands and distributes the enormous blast pressure coming down from the piston in the power stroke, protecting the crankshaft and connecting rod from deformation or breakage.
🚘 Compatibility and motors:
- ⚙️ Engine type: Great Wall/Haval 2.0L GW4C20 / GW4C20B turbo petrol engines
- 🚙 Compatible models (GWM / Haval / Tank):
- Haval H9
- Haval H6 (Second Generation with 2.0T Engine)
- Haval H8
- Tank 300 (2.0T gasoline)
- Great Wall Poer / P-Series (Gasoline)
⚠️ Key signs of rod knock damage or corrosion:
- 🔊 A loud and rapid metallic clicking or knocking sound from the bottom of the engine (Knocking) that rises and becomes more pronounced as the accelerator pedal (RPM) increases.
- 📉 A noticeable and sharp drop in engine oil pressure (Oil Pressure Drop) and the appearance of the oil light is due to the widening of the clearance and the leakage of oil from the ends of the alloy.
- 🛢️ The presence of shiny copper or metallic shavings in the engine oil or inside the oil filter when changing it.
- 🚫 Seized engine (seized engine) in the event of lack of lubrication and burning of the alloy and its wrapping around the crankshaft (spun bearing).
💡 Technical tip when packing:
- The oil clearance must always be measured using an approved plastic measuring tape ( Plastigauge ) to ensure the clearance accuracy according to the machine's maintenance manual.
- The connecting rods are changed as a complete set (upper and lower for all cylinders) with the use of special assembly lube to prevent dry friction on first operation.
