The main character in the novel — Miss Marple — uses everything her imagination can reach to solve the crime puzzles, so she can ultimately solve the mystery of two murders that actually happened, as well as prevent an imminent murder. Although the murderer in these crimes was not anyone among the present who could imagine it was them who committed these crimes, his cleverness did not withstand the intelligence and wit of "Miss Marple," until he was ultimately caught.
