The girl and the cigarette" a sign of the signs of dystopian literature (literature of the corrupt city) in the twenty-first century, but it is a satirical dystopia that lightly exposes the frantic world of ideals, dreams, and values until lightness becomes the counterpart of heaviness and the being becomes unbearable. A novel published in 2005, yet it reached the level of general and sometimes detailed prediction of what would happen in Syria, for example, in the early years of the second decade, as the writer depicts scenes of cinematic terrorists with their victims, recording a narrative and intuitive precedence of what the whole world would see later on television screens. A cigarette saves the life of a condemned man, who then emerges from the depths of prison to the squares of glory and fame supported by tobacco industry lobbyists, and a cigarette turns a life of an employee upside down, causing him to fall to the lowest depths. Between all this, many messages are sent by the writer: condemnation of social hypocrisy as he dedicates slogans of "care for childhood" instead of "totalitarian ideas." And a call to pay attention to a human model almost forgotten: the productive middle-aged man, humanity feeds on his shoulder meat, and nothing is gained but neglect.
