About the novel Moataz is a young man in his thirties who does not attract attention and does not arouse questions. He suffers from a deep condition inside him that he does not know what it is, a disorder in the optic nerve, or a rebellion in memory cells, or madness in the chromosomal system. Whatever presents itself to him, he will accept it, provided he does not remain in the same state longer than necessary, as it becomes boring. His parents died in a car accident when he was twenty-five, and they left all their wealth to him. He married and quickly divorced his wife after three years of marriage, fearing she would get used to him and the boredom that would follow. One day, he met Sophia, a Lebanese Christian woman, online, which represented a strange case that contrasted with the monotony he lives. So he decided to visit her at her apartment in Beirut. When he entered, he felt as if he had entered a shrine.
