Life is elsewhere

Overview of the book content: Yarumil is a poet, so how can one be a poet in a dictatorial system where freedom of thought is not available. It should be noted that Yarumil has never enjoyed freedom; he is suffocated by his mother’s love who follows him everywhere he goes, and by the ideologies and slogans of the Communist Party. He is suffocated by that father who did not facilitate his knowledge. He is suffocated by his love for a girl he does not find beautiful. He is suffocated by his narrow view of the world... However, life elsewhere is not just the story of a young poet but is a novel about loving others and loving oneself. A novel full of truths, sweetness, and the universe with astonishing sincerity and humanity. It is a novel that moves the feelings of any human being because each of us has wondered, even once, about the place of life and its extent. A novel about life elsewhere. The third work in the creative journey of Kundera is a literary masterpiece about literature and those who write about it, about life and those who live it. It is one of those rare works that not only make us feel the same upon rereading but also give us a sense of perfection. Life Elsewhere: author: Milan Kundera. Language: Arabic.
