Product description

Konehida Doyo is a romantic poet and Japanese short story writer from the Meiji era, and he is one of the founding fathers of the naturalist school in Japanese literature. Dobo's fictional works, mostly of a self-reflective nature, are nothing but a mirror of his personal experiences in his short life. Most of Dobo's tragic works deal with the subject of suicide, and KonoKida, as a poet of the Romantic movement, could not resist the tragic ending in his short stories. In the story "Nebula of the River," the tragedy was embodied in the idea of escape when Toyokishi traveled seeking success and Kampa returned to his hometown; he could not move on with his grief and misery, which led him to escape into the unknown nebula. Although the ending was left open to the reader, it is not devoid of tragedy.
