The novel begins at eight thirty-nine minutes, a young man and a young woman sit at a table in a bar, and everything in their lives changes radically. Time stops in that bar to the tune of a song that repeats endlessly. But outside the bar walls, time moves quickly carrying with it old age, oblivion, and an unknown fate awaiting the young man and the young woman. With an artistic narration, the long short story proceeds through the corridors of time trying to catch time with invisible traps, grasping its essence by diving into the folds of memory and the details of the present, monitoring the course of relationships between people and things, within the dialectic of illusion and reality, and the nature of the constant and the variable. A novel in which imagination and reality merge, and the boundaries between certainty and assumption collapse, images follow one another in a single painting so that time becomes a mirror of dreams where neither beginning is seen nor end, curtains of the unseen are drawn.
