Street of the Ashaa love affairs

Overview of the novel: Aziza, passionate about Egyptian films, loses her sight on a stormy night filled with dust. In the clinic, she listens intently to Dr. Ahmed's voice. She does not know if the voice resembles Hussein Fahmy, Rashdy Abaza, or Shukri Sarhan. After her recovery, she falls in love with him. Not because he is Egyptian; she does not like the accent but loves the tenderness he pours out to become a warm conversation. Her family opposes the relationship, making her story, like other love stories on Ashaa Street, fruitless. Does she run away with him to his country and change her name so no one knows her, just like Tahia Karioka did?
